DPA supported an Ecosystm Leaders Roundtable in New Delhi bringing together policymakers, venture capital investors and startup founders to discuss how digital regulation can support India’s next phase of innovation and growth.

The closed-door discussion explored how regulatory frameworks can build trust while preserving the conditions startups need to innovate, attract investment and scale. Participants highlighted the importance of proportionate and outcome-based regulation, greater regulatory certainty, and stronger coordination across emerging areas such as AI, data and cybersecurity.

The discussion also looked ahead to the continued expansion of India’s startup ecosystem beyond established technology hubs, and the role well-designed regulation can play in supporting entrepreneurship across the country.
